Kathy Lesnar - Executive Director/President
Amakuru! I am a wife and mother of 2 awesome girls. For 6 years I worked with Rwandan genocide survivor and author, Immaculee Ilibagiza. She introduced me to the beautiful people of Rwanda and our lives have never been the same. It has been a great joy for me to be working with The Abana Foundation! I love to see how God is working in the hearts of young people who want to make a difference. It has been inspiring for me to watch how Abana has not only made an impact in the lives of the children of Kibeho but also in the lives of the kids in America who have poured their hearts into this mission.
Kate (Lesnar) Pelzel - Founder/Vice President
I started All Day FORE Africa when I was 15 years old and I honestly had NO IDEA that one day we would be talking about building a Children's Academy, providing scholarships or feeding 880 students in Rwanda. I am humbled and blessed to be surrounded by so many awesome kids (and adults) who have shared my vision of Kids FORE Kids. I am thankful to God for the friendships I have made in both Rwanda and the US.
Pam Wendland - Treasurer
It is my pleasure to work with The Abana Foundation! I have been involved with ADFA from the very beginning and it has amazed me to see the passion and perseverance of so many incredible kids here in the US. A mission trip to Rwanda in 2014 captured my heart and I am committed to sharing my expertise and assisting in any way I can!

I am so happy to be working with The Abana Foundation. 7 years ago we started to build a very unique and large bridge. We dreamed of connecting a bridge between the USA and Kibeho, Rwanda, a place where Marian Fathers work at the Cana Center. And it is working! This bridge gave us the possibility to help our Primary School in Nyarushishi, to build a Medical Center, Dormitories for teachers and nurses, to feed the children and to provide scholarships. There are many others signs of hope and love between the local people of Rwanda and The Abana Foundation. This connection of friendship has become a wonderful passion for many people. In 2010, we planted a small “mustard seed” and today we can see how it has grown into something wonderful! May the Lord reward you a hundred fold for helping us.
